Good afternoon, Fillies and Gentle-colts. I come to you all today with a simple proposal. Many of you may remember a few months ago, I ran a similar contest for the cover of a fan-fic that I wrote. Recently, I've finished that endeavor, and have begun writing its sequel. In this case, however, we are hoping to run the contest prior to the impending release of the story's first two chapters and prologue. Of course, we wouldn't be arrogant enough to not give you a good idea of the fic. The story is primarily an adventure story, with a bit of shipping.
Synopsis:It has been three years since a rogue Draconequus threatened the stability of Equestria, and a further three since the defeat of Nightmare Moon. Since then, life has settled for even Equestria's newest resident, Goldenrod. Come join the summer fun! -CONTEST-Hello Everypony! We are going to have our first contest. I think we should finally do something with the group since there hasn't been that much activity besides just accepting your awesome art work. I think a little change would be nice.
The Deadline will be July 25, 2012. This gives you guys a complete month to work on your entry.
The objective of this contest is to celebrate the group becoming a full year. Plus it is summer time so the theme is something to do with the summer season! However there is a twist. You have to involve one or all of the 4 main elements: water, earth, air, and fire.
Some examples are like water deals with water so your OC must be doing something with water (like swimming). If you pick earth you can use something like flowers, ect with your OC. The staff will judge the winners based on who we determine have struck the best balance between creatively involving one or all of the elements and the summer season together.

Create a piece of whatever comes to your mind when you read "Halloween on Dark Wings", be creative! Write, draw, or craft the image you think would be most fitting. Since its not near Halloween I decided to choose a random theme that can be flexible to whatever you feel like doing. This is not a theme found in a movie or on the internet, it is a random phrase that popped into my mind so you must create whatever image comes to your head when you read "Halloween on Dark Wings".

I'd like to give a heads up we have about a week before Round 8 ends (our countdown timer is gone). I'm not sure if you need an extension or not. I noticed a few Round 7's appearing even though the round is over so I'll open this up again (we never got an entries for this) and you have until Round 11 to finish this bonus round. It'll be something you can do when you get bored.
Just to be clear, Round 8 is ending soon and just comment if you need an extension.
Round 7 will be a novelty round you can do whenever and will end Round 11.

i dont suppose you can extend the lenght of the contest? my PC crashed unexpectedly and i lost the picture which i worked several hours on, if you cant i wont bother starting again (yet) it would be too stressful :/
